When making a request in the standard terminal, something incomprehensible is going on, the lines start to get confused, the characters are interchanged and disappear. This does not appear immediately, for some time the information is entered correctly, you can fix it only by minimizing and maximizing the window. I tried alternative terminals, the situation has not changed. Can anyone come across the same problem?

Probably caught the hello readline library. For example, this one . I also have it, especially when copying multi-line text with Cyrillic. Unfortunately, the crutches that correct the situation are not known to me. You can experiment with vi mode (by default, readline works in emacs mode).

In any case, the method of filling the database with voluminous data manually from the console client is rather inconvenient, it may be easier to either use the batch features or navigate a simple face (GUI or Web).
