    I integrated the admin panel of the Joomla 1.5 custom component with Amazon S3: upload images to the admin panel, and they are duplicated into the cloud, from where they are distributed to site visitors and email readers.

    There is nothing difficult in the implementation. Amazons offer their SDK for PHP (and for other languages, too), with the help of which any functionality of their services is conveniently ruled.

    In addition, many plug-ins are able to work with "cloud" services, incl. same amazon. For example, the planned caching under WordPress can fill statics on S3.
