Good day! Please tell me how to solve this problem. I'm trying to attach a database in MS SQL 2005 (mdf file), but I get error 5120 (access is denied). The highlight is that I have 64-bit Windows 7 Home Basic, I think this is the case, and mdf was probably created for 32bit. How can this problem be solved?

Generally not connected. If access is denied - check if the account under which MS SQL is running has rights to the folder and database file. Attach only one mdf file does not work - there must be at least another ldf file - a log file.

Yes, you are right, the reason was different: you had to open Managment Studio on behalf of the administrator.
