Hello!

I decided to install linux. Downloaded from off site, recorded. When installing, I get an error:

This error means that an I / O error occurs when mounting the LiveCD file system.

The disc may have been scratched or burned with an error. Or you need to clean the CD-ROM.

You need to check the checksums according to [instructions] [1]. If the image is damaged, they will not match. [1]: help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM - stanislav
  • I wrote down on the instruction "how to write wasps". The disc is new, not scratched. With sdrom everything seems to be ok, recently I installed Windows everything was fine. - Sergey000
  • Then check the MD5 amount of the image file, as advised above. It may well be that he downloaded with an error. - ulltor

The answer is 100% correct. You probably have a poorly recorded disk, it happens. I had something similar with another distribution and the error was exactly the same. I just threw the disc and recorded another. - cy6erGn0m
