The question is not entirely about programming, but still:

Question 1: if there is a computer that is connected to the Internet via cable, and at the same time it has a Wi-Fi adapter, is it possible to use it to make your own Wi-Fi network?

Question 2: Someone from the neighbors had a non-password Wi-Fi network. For some time through it, I sat on the Internet, but after a couple of days Internet access was lost. I would still understand if the thing was that the owners had set the password, but I can still connect to the point. However, when I go to the Internet, the browser writes that there is no connection. What can be wrong?

    1 answer 1

    Question 1:

It is possible, if its WiFi-adapter can work in the modes AP (access point) or ad-hoc (connection wifi-adapter-wifi-adapter).

    Question 2

Variants: set up filtering by MAC, made the settings, and that were set manually, rather than automatically, set up a proxy for themselves, turned off the Internet altogether.

    • "they set up filtering by MAC, made the settings, and that were set manually, and not automatically, set up a proxy, turned off the Internet altogether" How to understand this and how to get around it? - Arseny Pavlov
    • In general - no way. If for each item:
Clone MAC
Manually register i-net settings (gateway, address, mask)
Register the proxy address in the browser
Nothing, use a different method of accessing and not
- gecube
