Hello dear. I just started learning RoR and already ran into a "reef". I read Agile Web Development with Rails (Fourth edition) of 2010, but it contains all examples in Ruby 1.8.7 + RoR 3.0.1, I tried to configure everything in RVM, installed another version of Ruby in parallel (the main one is 1.9.3) , created a new gemset for this version, then tried to install the correct version of RoR (3.0.1), but version 3.2.9 was installed.

Now I ask for help from you, dear experts, because you need to learn RoR as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance!

Do not get attached strongly to the old versions, almost everything works as well. Put 1.9.3 and 3.2.9 and do not suffer. I advise you to take another book and read it in parallel.

    • Thanks for the advice, maybe you will also advise me a book on this version of RoR (you can also in English), otherwise I did not find it. - MikroFF
    • I worked on "Beginning Rails 3", and then guides.rubyonrails.org and api.rubyonrails.org - Vladimir Gordeev
