Hello!

I was puzzled by the choice of OS for a laptop on which I work. Developing applications for Android OS and Flash applications on Adobe Flash Builder.

Laptop Features:
Model: Lenovo Y570
CPU: Core i3-230M (2.1 GHz)
RAM: 6 GB DDRIII 1333
HDD: 500 GB
SSD: 60 GB
VIdeo: # 1: Intel HD 3000; # 2 nVidia GEFORCE GT 555M.

Now installed Windows 8 x64 Professional

I think to install the system on SSD. But Windows is a lot of free space on this site at the moment is eating ...

In general, I ask you to advise what system, and on which drive to install ...

If suddenly someone else read up here, can someone stumble in the Internet on the instructions for installing the SSD as a cache for a hard drive? I can not find ... in models Y570, which come with the SSD immediately, in this way the SSD and the hard disk are combined.

After receiving all 0 responses here, as well as to the response. Mail.ru went to experiment.

    Put the Ubuntu 12.10 x64

Installed Eclipse (ADT) + unofficial Flash Builder plugin + Aptana plugin.
After some time of performing ethnic dances of the peoples of the north, we also managed to install a debag version of the flash player for Mozilla.

It was also possible to force Optimus (switching between video cards) through some efforts, and even install and launch it with the help of the great Wine Flat Out 2 without brakes and any lags.

So, comrades, we throw out the Windows))
