  • Is the wiki article too complicated? What exactly is not clear? - avp
  • I went to the wiki and understood only one thing: it’s a programming paradigm, but I don’t understand the essence - perfect

@perfect, for 2 minutes, carefully read, sorted out examples of programs there, thought it over and did not understand anything? Great! I can't think so fast. - avp
  • I'll try to figure it out myself. thanks - perfect

The essence is not captured. Try again - renegator

in simple terms, this is an algorithm for solving a problem in which a sequence of actions for it is already prepared for each element. For example, you can try to write an email parser (P343dlo43dlo23 "№" №! @mail .ru):

  • if the letter (state) - then goes to the next. sign
  • if the figure - to the next. sign
  • if the forbidden sign is an error
  • if @ - then the domain name will be
  • etc.

Such an option, with the right analysis, will give a good validation; without it, it would be easier to solve using patterns

  • With the analysis of the line, it became clear to me. Just in the book on opengl it says that opengl is a state machine, it couldn’t be understood in any way what it would mean - perfect
  • > opengl is a state machine. Either the curve is a translation, or it is torn out of context. - nitrocaster

@perfect, so you are interested in state-machine because of the phrase in the book on opengl? Less pay attention to such "thinking". The great theoretical scientist apparently wrote it. - avp
