I can not figure out how to make a cross-browser butt button + field. Here is an option. http://jsfiddle.net/EeDxD/ If you look at firefox - everything is ok. In opera or chrome, the button per pixel slides down. If you fix the bottom - will move down in firefox.

  • Why do you have bottom: -1px? because of this and moves out. You can also add vertical-align: middle to both. I also think line-height in different browsers - accepts a different value by default. - istem

Perhaps this will help you: Make one div into it, insert a button and a field so that the height of the button crawls a bit onto the div, and overflow: hidden to it itself; do not forget to put them close, for example float: left; or using margin
