Actually the question is: what method of application promotion has brought you the greatest benefit? Which advertising providers are better in your opinion, which ones are worse? Is the development for android profitable and will the developer have enough for bread?

I wonder your opinion.

  • A commentary on the previous question (I can’t unsubscribe there), they will either learn from the market or from major forums like xda (well, I’m posting to the forums, although there are very few views of the topic). The fact that the game is growing in the rating does not give anything yet, but the effectiveness of some of my actions on promotion is still visible, the first is that no one is immune from market surprises, and the second is very few downloads (300-500 a day). Yes, the market is also found. I am writing on a self-made engine, I read some book, the author there told and wrote it along the way, I then modified it relatively well before my needs. But you need to take on OpenGL 2D. - AndroidDev

The best promotion, in my opinion, is the presence of many good reviews of your game / application on various sites.

He worked on advertising with AdMob - I will say one thing, expensive, at least 250 clicks in 10 ye are obtained.

The development is cost-effective, with good projects, the profit is quite high, but the bugs of the market may break off after which your application may fall in the number of downloads per day / lose positions in the ratings.

  • I know that we already have several applications in the market :) And this is only half the problem. The second is fragmentation. I mean, you could not earn money on advertising? - DroidAlex 6:01 pm

It was possible before the start of the "surprises") - AndroidDev

This explains a lot :) But still, not every application can shoot. Have you been promoting on many sites to get 100k, or were there any tricks, like payment for a jump? - DroidAlex 6:08 pm

There is a site BoostApp , on which there are cool articles about promotion on Google Play and marketing of Android applications in general. In reality, everything is laid out on the shelves, in the second article different methods of promotion are analyzed (advertising, pay per install networks). Also BoostApp itself specializes in the promotion of Android applications. I used their services, it works much better than the same Admob in terms of costs. I brought two of my applications to the top category on Google Play. Review articles are a complex topic. This is either expensive or very long (to negotiate, write the most press releases, etc.). Development can be quite cost-effective - you only need to properly think through monetization.

In my case, the main way of promotion is to post reviews on blogs. Reklmaoy not particularly engaged. But the reviews give a very good impulse - 7 - 10 000 installations, and then on increasing by itself. I have a farmium program. Used the services of Ivan PR , in RuNet and once in American blogs lit up. There on the site, by the way, there are articles on the promotion of Android applications . Recommend.
