Dear designers! Can anybody explain why this exact number is used in the width of the site template? Not 1030, not 1000, but exactly 1029, and I see it already in the 4th design that I am given!

ps I'm a workbench :)

  • maybe a man was born on October 29. Or it is the maximum width that the designer can fit on the screen. / I'm not a designer :) - KoVadim

Strange designer: D Maybe he once found an example where this width was used, and now he is just reworking that template?

Indeed, it is more logical to use 1000px: the screen is 1024px minus the width of the window frame and scrollbars. For responsive designs, 960px is typically used for smartphone screens.

By the way, at the request of 1029px google in the first place gives this page, which once again confirms that this is a designer trick
