Good day!
Actually I use sqlite in my application, but then I wondered if it was possible to work in the same way, but with MySQL? That the DB file was on the device.

UPD: this question is open for the satisfaction of curiosity, I am not going to do such things.

How do people compile muscular for android. And they even manage to sell , although I do not know how legal it is.

It describes how to put muscle on the tablet.

    Here's another reference .

That is - everything is real. But there is no point. sqlite copes quite well with the task, it can be said to be integrated into the system.

Well, you and fantasy. MySQL is a client server DBMS. On a pure android - it is impossible, because There is no MySql server, and without it in the local file - in any way, and hardly. Rutually, theoretically, you can probably port a muscle to a server, but the android has nothing to do with it.

Probably another option is to write a service that will fumble the local database file, and on the server, where you have a thread, adjust the muscle so that it will base on this shared disk - but the speed will be ... :-)

And why do you need Muscle with a base on the device?

      • I have nothing to do with it :) it just became interesting :) are there any alternatives to sqlite, and how are they better / worse? - andreich
      • one
Well, there is Mimer SQL, there is Cellica ... And what’s the point? Have you already exhausted all the possibilities of sqlite and have rested against the impossibility of doing something, or its inefficiency? - user6550
      • @klopp no, I'm not going to go anywhere, I was curious, so I decided to ask :) - andreich
