Hello, advise any good book on this language (for a beginner or for a professional - it does not make a difference). You can also have some useful resource (website), if you know. Thank.

Two-volume Java 2. K.Horstmann, G. Cornell. These people know a lot about java. If programming of desktop applications will be of more interest, pay attention to the book of the domestic author: I.Porthyankin "SWING: Effective user interfaces". This is the best book on SWING in Russian.

Doesn't make a difference for a beginner or a professional? Hard you.

I advise you to take a list from here . Perhaps there are the best books on Java. I advise you to read the philosophy in the English version, because the translation from Peter frankly ditched it.

There is a lot of literature on the Internet, but I think that you should think not only about learning the language but also about the mathematical component of programming, you should go here , various structures in programming here !! Good luck in learning!
