I am going to study node.js, doing the project with use of websocket. Tell me where it is better to read about these technologies and which libraries should be used on the server and client (preferably jQuery)?

    Start with the basics - Textbook Javascript
    jkveri is just a more convenient wrapper over javascript.
    A node is not a language, it is a technology based on javascript.

      At the moment I am reading this book: Node.js Developing server-side web applications in JavaScript , for a start, to understand the node and npm will do. Why jQuery right away?
      jQuery is not a panacea, and you need to understand whether this library or its equivalent or framework as angularjs , but first of all you need to understand how the library is organized.
