Hello

Too many sessions are being created compared to the number of real users.
For a week, 325 thousand sessions were created (files), while the actual users were ~ 35-40 thousand.

The difference is ten times.
Why are there so many of them? And how can they be reduced?
Thank.

    It all depends on how you create the session. Most likely, most sessions are unused. There is still not entirely clear what you mean by session.

    • Some user cannot give away cookies, or something else, and as a result, each visit creates a new session;
    • The lifetime of the session is small, as a result, the user creates sessions every N days;
    • Old sessions are not deleted.

    Options that I see:

    • Clear unused sessions;
    • Understand why, in what situations they multiply.
