I understand that this is the basics, but nevertheless help advice - I need to make the button inactive (visible but inactive), and then activate it again

    All inheritors of UIControl have the property enabled

    To make the button inactive simply set this property to NO

     button.enabled = NO;

    and vice versa

     button.enabled = YES;
