    You probably have a component with a CNC on the main one. If you have there, for example, there is a complex component news, then yes, it will. Then you can enable the option "Set status 404 if no element or section is found" in the component settings. Just keep in mind that in this case, the component will simply give the status of 404 (it will be understood by search engines, etc.), but not a full 404 page with some text, this is a problem in the bitrix with CNC, only special crutches set to make such a page.
