There is a uitabbarcontroller and 2 tabs. In the first tab, there is a uinavigationcontroller (+ uitableviewcontroller) that switches to other views.

So the task: It is necessary to make it so that when switching to the 2nd tab, in the 1st tab, the navigationcontroller "raised" the view to root. That is, to ensure that when selecting the 1st tab, the root view will always be displayed, and only then handles will go into the nested view

    In the UITabBarController delegate method, do:

    - (BOOL)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController shouldSelectViewController:(UIViewController *)viewController { if ( [viewController isKindOfClass:[UINavigationController class]] ) { [(UINavigationController *)viewController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:NO]; }

    or check with your controls and popToRootViewControllerAnimated: for UINavigationController popToRootViewControllerAnimated:
