Recently, from somewhere, a vertical white line was drawn in phpStorm by jetBrains. The hell you rubbed was drawn - in the screenshot it is highlighted in red http://savepic.net/5863989.htm This band annoys me a lot, applies to all the code and is on top of any text. Who knows how to turn it off?

This is not a terrible, but a very useful strip. While she is on the screen, I don’t want to climb up for her, and as a result, the wizards going beyond the screen, as in the picture, do not work. Separately, I remind you that PEP8 and PSR2 require / recommend not to go beyond 80 characters. If you ever have to edit the config via ssh, you will understand why it is so important that all the code fit on one screen.

In the options, you can find it by the keyword margin (ide settings - editor - appearance - show right margin). You can correct its value in the project settings - code style - general, but the recommended value by all is 80 characters.

    • thanks for the answer, but on the contrary I looked for this parameter to push this band closer in the code for PEP8 and PSR2;), otherwise it stood at 120 and sometimes without knowing it wrote code more than 80 lines, now this parameter will not be) - Melis
