I sat in the wifi and installed the program for the Internet. I do not remember the name already. After installation, the wifi did not find an access point. How can I restore access to the Internet? Writes that "No network devices are available" PS initially the issue was discussed [here] [1] [1]: https://ru.stackoverflow.com/questions/27411/%D0%B2%D0%BE%D1%81% % 81% D1% 82% D0% B0% D0% BD% D0% BE% D0% B2% D0% B8% D1% 82% D1% 8C-% D0% B8% D0% BD% D1% 82% D0% B5% D1% 80% D1% 84% D0% B5% D0% B9% D1% 81-wlan0-% D0% B2-linux-ubuntu

The simplest thing is to reinstall Linux.
A more difficult way is to figure out what is going on. To do this, you need to analyze the output protocol of the dmesg program. According to it, you can understand whether the wifi driver is loading at all. With the help of the lsusb and lspci commands (su rights are required) you can see if the WiFi adapter is seen at all. If it is not visible, then the driver doesn’t need to boot, because there isn’t anyway. Further watch what they write iwconfig and ifconfig . Plus, please note that there are several ways to configure WiFi and network adapters in Linux. One - through ifup, the second - through NetworkManager. And the latter works (usually) through the GUI applet, which must also be loaded. : - {
- did not have to reinstall. Thanks for the answer. The question is resolved, the answer is in the link in the question - lap top
1) dmesg command typed a lot of text, I have no idea what exactly to look for there.
2) lsusb and lspci printed less text but no mention of wifi
3) iwconfig and ifconfig out there is something about Wi-Fi, but I already quoted the printouts above with a link to the question where I already asked.
4) ifup -n wlan0 displays Ignoring unknown interface wlan0 = wlan0. I looked at lo and eth0 there already wrote for them
ifup -v wlan0 prints failed to open statefile / var / run / network / ifstate: Permission denied
but reinstalling Linux do not hurt. I had a case once and everyone advised to format the entire disk, it turned out that it was necessary to restore the MBR or BOOT sector at all, I don’t remember exactly
- 1.
dmesgdisplays the download protocol. It shows messages from various drivers. They are all textual and usually messages from a single driver are labeled in a specific way. For example, when you connect usb-in, there are lines starting withusb 1-42. bad. Perhaps the adapter is missing or disabled by hardware. If this is a laptop, try searching for switches or keyboard combinations to turn on WiFi. - gecube 4:05 pm - 1. there is not all visible in the console. With LiveUsb you can see Wi-Fi points. Well, and so - disconnecting through the BIOS and no buttons. Through the BIOS, I did not turn it off for a long time. - lap top

dmesg | grep wifi). Or make a conclusion on the screens (dmesg | more) - gecube - brought me by wlan0: wlan0: link is not ready - lap top
