question how to transfer 20-30 users from a samba to AD under Windows 2008R2 the server ?? ideally still migrate the rights, but this is IMHO trivia, you can configure already in AD itself

You can use the Active Directory Migration Tool to migrate users from Samba to Active Directory. It should be noted that

    • admin password must be the same for everywhere (and Samba, AD),
    • on workstations in the Advanced / DNS section, TCP / IP settings, the DNS option suffix for this connection should be empty,
    • user passwords are not transferred and must be reset,
    • firewall on workstations must be disabled,

ADMT has the ability to test, and this feature can be used to eliminate any errors that occur even before the migration begins.

If not with this utility, then how did you transfer the domain? It is very interesting for users to migrate correctly, so that profiles do not fly off (SID, UID, ...) on working computers (passwords are not interested).

Just for me, this question is now very relevant.
