Depends on which su or sudo authorization you have installed

with gksu or gksudo , the startup command will look like this

     gksu /etc/ppp/peers/xxxxgksu .krusader

    or

     gksudo /etc/ppp/peers/xxxxgksudo .krusader

accordingly ... the same can be inserted into the "start button" on the desktop.

    • The fact is that it has already been tried - it does not work !!! Why I don’t know if there are other ways? CentOS 6 system - osbiz 1
    • A Gtk + -based 'su' wrapperGKSu is a gtk + frontend. It supports login shells and preserving environment when acting as a su frontend. It’s a separate package .... installation of 'u' or 'sudo apt-get install gksu' is similar for 'gksudo' - shestgeo
    • Unfortunately does not go - osbiz 1
    • "not coming" - this is not clear (((swears? Can not find something? write more in detail .... - shestgeo
    • see above - it doesn’t go anyway what's the difference then one gksu gedit | bash: gksu: command not found | | ----- from the terminal gksudo gedit | bash: gksu: command not found | Details: Could not execute the child process “gksudo (gksu)” (No such file or directory) | --- from desktopyum install gksu 0 packages excluded due to repository protectionsSetting up Install ProcessNo package gksu available.Error: Nothing to do similarly and with gksudoNM I do not use, only manually - more reliably and you know something - where - osbiz 1

    What did sudo not please?

    1. If there is a networkmanager in the system, then it’s better to configure everything through it!
    2. My Dwarf does not want to run scripts, but you can

    -

     sudo /etc/ppp/peers/xxxx

Or create an interface in /etc/sysconfig/network/pppiface and run ifup pppiface .

    • There are situations when a solution is necessary in a particular “key” - for example, you need to do this on a client machine that is located in a far-located office, where, alas, you don’t get hurt, and users are there in the terminal - there will be no commands to enter ... and so on and so forth . There are a lot of decisions , but alas, it is not always suitable any (((( - shestgeo
    • definitely networkmanaget help, everything through wakes wakes! - e_klimin
    • there is a sad experience with the Network Manager. I don’t want to step on the rake again - osbiz 1
    • Partially yes, if the PC as a server, then the manager does not need to be used, if the PC workstation, then it is normal. I had 3G and the VPN through it there even has a button, how hotplug you connect the modem the interface itself rises. - e_klimin
    • Solution found! Everything turned out to be very simple, instead of gksu - gksudo, you need to use the kdesu command. Now everything is in place. Thank you all. - osbiz 1
