If during the installation, you yourself did not change the way to switch layouts, then this is the Alt + Shift key combination. In addition, the layout changes with the mouse: in the status bar there is a corresponding icon (keyboard and abbreviation en / ru), there are also settings for selecting a hot key for switching layouts.

You can also learn the keyboard layout via the keyboard configuration file, which is located in /etc/default/ .
Open the file with root rights using a text editor by typing in the terminal command:
sudo gedit /etc/default/keyboard
The inside of the file will look something like this:
# KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION FILE # Consult the keyboard(5) manual page. XKBMODEL="pc105" XKBLAYOUT="us,ru" XKBVARIANT="" XKBOPTIONS=""grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll"" BACKSPACE="guess" Where in XKBLAYOUT languages are written to which you switch, and in XKBOPTIONS alt_shift is a bunch of keys with which you switch to these languages.
