Hello.

I can not configure wifi. All the necessary commands entered.

iface wlan0 inet dhcpwpa-driver wextwpa-ssid <имя_точки_доступа>wpa-ap-scan 1wpa-proto RSNwpa-pairwise CCMPwpa-group CCMPwpa-key-mgmt WPA-PSKwpa-psk <hex_ключ> auto wlan0.

There is no network in NetMan, but it is in the terminal after scanning the network. The driver is installed! Network card - Atheros. WiFi on Win7 works. After restarting /etc/init.d/networking following messages are displayed.

 sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

Running /etc/init.d/networking restart is deprecated because it may not enable again some interfaces * Reconfiguring network interfaces... Tell me, please, what to do.

  • ifconfig -aB studio ... - pyatak
  • until the result of ifconfig is given and there is nothing to talk about :) - enzo86
  • I have Broadcom B43, in Ubunte there is no firewood for it out of the box (although it seems they should pull up after installation). If you have the same, I can throw a solution. - Dmitry Miroshnichenko

I decided to add the blacklist acer_wmi in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf .

sudo modprobe -r wlsudo modprobe brcmsmacsudo rfkill unblock allrfkill list all

In ubuntu weak. But I turn on wi-fi after the introduction of these lines. True, you have to enter each time you turn it on.

As it seems to me, the problem is that you specify wpa-driver wext , which is a universal driver. Try specifying wpa-driver wext - wpa-driver madwifi instead of wpa-driver wext - wpa-driver madwifi (this is the Atheros driver).

Someone like me, and I did an access point on a stationary computer with a WiFi card through hostapd. I used this: http://forum.ubuntu.ru/index.php?topic=61834.0 and this: http://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/wifi_ap . Well, with some changes. Three years worked, then I got tired of burning electricity, bought a cheap Wi-Fi router, and I am satisfied!
