How to remove the network applet? Removed network-manager, and its icon in the panel remained. Gnome 3.2 (Mint 12 aka Ubuntu 11.10)

    Look at the plugins at https://extensions.gnome.org/ - I won’t say exactly the name, but you will find a lot of interesting things adding functionality and removing some unnecessary points.

    + Use a keyword search: net, network, or remove, and it’s likely that something will fall good.
