What will happen if the equipment does not deteriorate? My friend has an x64 laptop with Windows 8 I have an x86 (32 bit) PC with Windows 7, we need to use Ubuntu, I in Win 7 through Universal USB Installer created a bootable live USB flash drive with Ubuntu x64 and a place to store settings (on a USB flash drive). Now I'm afraid to run on BOOT, what will happen if I run it from my x86 computer. I still have very valuable info on HDD (NTFS 3 local disks). Could Ubuntu be damaged due to a crash if I do not write / read on the HDD?

Tests, Tests - everything is normal. just be yourself more careful.
- And if on the local disk E: some kind of locked-up file system (chkdsk and Acronis screwed up) and there is a folder in which ... the same folder in it is the same, and so on - a cyclic folder :) And there is an unnalocated space and indexes who chkdsk unable to recover? - Rules

No, it is not dangerous, I’m already copying files back and forth for several years.
- Windows 7/8 you tested with it? but this is unreliable. Ubuntu OS I’m afraid of important info. For example, I formatted C in Acronis Disk Director 2008 as NTFS and then installed Win 7 (it was Toshiba’s laptop) and ... read disk error! And when through the Windows Installer formatted - it is normal. - Rules
