Situation: there is a Linux server, access to which is only through a dial-up from another city for several thousand km.

On this server from the n-th user, the process runs on php with a zoo of its own forks. It is necessary to see the load that this zoo creates on the system, sometimes to restart, to automate some moments.

SSH session hangs and often breaks, the screen does not offer. I am sure there is a ready-made solution, but I don’t remember the name. Tell me?

@timophey ,

http://linuxdash.com/

Himself while not working with her, but everything should be ok.

upd
linuxdash does not seem to know how to manage processes. In principle, zabbix is used for such cases, but it seems to be not very good on a small scale; there is also http://www.pulseway.com/features - but all I know about it is that I have their application on the desktop.

  • @Etki, if ssh really does not work, then why do you think that this thing will be enough resources? - avp
  • @avp, I understand that problems with ssh because of the distance and the connection. - etki
  • It looks nice, but it is only a monitor, albeit redundant. I would control php daemon through a browser - timophey

monit keeps an eye on demons and other system matters - you can make configs to restart certain processes, if you hang longer than N, they do not respond to other conditions.

See sample configurations for an overview of the features.
