How to create a network drive in ubuntu via samba?

The network drive must be accessible in windows.

How would any question such an answer. Right click on the folder you want to make available. There on the tab "Public folder LAN" put the appropriate checkboxes and ready. Samba makes a network folder and Windows is happy to see it.
