Greetings, people. He brought me to you an extremely important issue for me to systematize price lists from different suppliers into one single file for an online store on WooCommerce 2.1.12.

Imagine that there are, for example, 5 suppliers who sell the same product, but with different prices, slightly different names (headings) and in different currencies (I gave the most difficult option), and they need to be merged into one, With the choice of a specific title, convert all currencies into one and with the choice of the minimum price. Maybe there is some kind of plugin or who uses external tools?

  • Do you have a unique field? For example, for auto parts it is a combined pair - article + brand. Do books have an ISBN? - Ale_x

If there are no unique fields (a collection of fields), then it is done as follows.

  1. It creates a table of its nomenclature.
  2. A Cross table is created with the fields: item, supplier, item name at the supplier.
  3. When loading a price list from a file, first run it through the cross table - bring all the names to yours and then load all this into the price list position table.

Update

If you are really sorry for this business, look for programmers. And another point - there may be cases of backing up the nomenclature (initially, white bread was introduced, and then, in a month, white bread 400g. In essence, this is one product). So, even after you implement the mechanism (buy it, write it yourself) - you still have to periodically view and set up the cross-table

  • Thank you. Just as a newbie I don’t know how to implement all this. while working with 1 supplier and 300 products. I want to expand - Pajerosport
  • Obviously, to write or change the program part of the store you need to contact the programmers. - Get

Look for a common field for products from various suppliers such as Product Code, Article Number, Serial Number, etc. If you find at all, then it is quite realistic to merge. If not, the car will not understand that “Item 1” and “First Item” are one and the same. I didn’t see any ready-made plug-ins for all of this, you need to order development.
