What are the algorithms of simultaneous work of administrators in popular CMS? Namely, interesting:

  • the ability to authorize two people with different ip from under the same login;
  • the ability to simultaneously edit the content of one page by two users;
  • the ability to delete a page by one user while another is editing it;
  • etc.

Who with what systems understood, what variants of implementations knows - prompt. Any opinion is very interesting.

    Jumla is a vivid example))) there they just didn’t bathe about it, create what you want and figure it out on the phone, what the fuck did you remove the category you just added 18 entries to)) - Sh4dow
  • Something I do not believe ...) Joomla, of course, that is still disgusting, but there was something with a lot of authorized admins ... - 1232

    Well, you can adjust the lock - then you will find out on the phone that the fuck didn’t remove the lock from the mountain and yesterday’s infa hangs on the main one, and you can edit it only by using the “reset lock” utility) ) poorly thought out and even worse implemented. * 3 years of work with Joomla. - Sh4dow

Of all surveyed, the implementation in cms MODx was most liked ...

Multi-authorization is allowed. But it is worth the proper protection from selecting a password (it counts mistakes in a row), although it’s pretty expensive - it’s worth increasing the quota

While editing is in progress, a block is entered on the page. When the session leaves, the blocks can be removed, but the downside is that only all at once. You cannot edit the same thing. Delete editable - not.

It is possible to impose group policies on resources and thus close some of the resources from modification and deletion. Admin, of course everything can.

The deletion takes two measures - the mark at the distance and the physical deletion (of course, the rights are adjusted). Marking closes the resource from visibility outside, but can be safely removed.

And all this even conditionally works well.

    1. The number of simultaneous authorizations with one login is not limited. Only the "Maximum number of computers on which authorization can be simultaneously stored" is configured.

    2. Edit / delete gives at the same time - all at the mercy of the organization of work within the team working on the site. In other matters, if necessary, it is easily realizable.

    3. The only editing of the order (through the admin panel). The system warns that at the moment the order is open for editing by someone else. And there is a "Unlock" button

    In general, all the same "under one login" is a bad practice, regardless of the CMS. It is much more correct for everyone to have their own account, then there will be flexibility in the rights settings. And, as practice shows, in the case of a state of emergency shooting of people every five years can help in the analysis of flights.
