Hello!

Tell me, who knows how to connect from VS 2012 to SQL SERVER 2008 r2.

The problem is:

There is a remote database server 192.168.130.130, there is the necessary database. In VS, I select the server browser, enter the necessary data for the connection, and when I press "Check connection", an error immediately pops up, as in the screenshot:

The username is written in this database is the same as I enter. But for some reason there is no connection. Maybe I did not take into account something. Firewall off.

The most common mistake is if you have configured a Windows login authorization in SQL Server, and a login password is disabled. In this case, the inclusion of mixed authorization will help you. How to do this is briefly described in the article: Change the authorization mode .

If this does not help, then check whether access to SQL Server from remote machines is allowed, because it is on your other computer. How to quickly configure remote database access is described here: Remote connection to SQL Server DB
