Actually a subject. Your opinion? Is it possible to complete the transition to JS (server)?) Personally, I'm already starting to crawl a little. Is it promising?

Are you talking about Node.JS? I heard positive and negative reviews about him, for example, http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/nodejs/129640/ . It is not adequately written soish, but there are figures that it is already quite good. I would prefer python, for example. Django for a newbie is a bit more complicated, but it eliminates many worries and mistakes.
- You read vaabsche? O_o? <br> How is python here? By the way, for information, it’s the error and the understanding and understanding of the language and not python. not? - Zowie
- 3First, I ask politely. Secondly, I found that systemiv was asking about the server side of JS. And the brain eliminates grammatical errors too. - uramer239
- Yes, I read this post. The author is not adequate. Well, as far as I know, now in Yandex there is a development of all new services. And the fact that it is developed on the engine from Google. Not just the way he developed it. Large enough companies are interested in them. - systemiv
- Interest is not in the article, but in numbers. And there is one drawback: a small hosting market => for amateur projects, it is not very suitable. - uramer239
- uramer, you are right. He is simply not familiar with server programming on JS - systemiv
The question is posed somehow ambiguous ... it would be possible to talk about the transition, as for me, if JavaScript were a server language, and so personally I don’t quite understand the essence of the question ... By myself I’ll say, I know both php and javascript, there was no matter where I wrote the server code ... In general, we were talking about the PZ of pure javascript programmer, then according to statistics it is higher than that of a pure php programmer, but this does not mean that this is actually the case, I will say from experience - normal JavaScript programmers almost never met in my life, the absolute majority is more jQuery does not see ...
Well, that's not the point, IMHO, write in both languages and position yourself as JavaScript, PHP developer ...
- ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nodejs - systemiv
- I apologize, paraphrase some question so that it is immediately clear that you are about Nodejs ... <br> If so then IMHO is better to stay on php, or learn java (which will be much harder, but why java is cool I think you should not write .. .) <br> Although again, the worse from knowing one more “language” will not be accurate and if you like the language IMHO the question is irrelevant - go ahead :) - Zowie
- I like the language because it does not have a classical model, but is tied to prototypes. As for java, you know that under Android you can write on a bunch of html + + css + javascript (I mean exactly applications). Even a book where it is for sale - systemiv
- And where does the android? .. - Zowie
- I thought you meant it when they talked about JAVA - systemiv
