VMware workstation produces an error during installation

As an option, save: open registry

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones

Delete key named "[]"

The problem is just smeared with blue. There is either a space, or a Russian character, or something else.

  1. Create a folder C:\tmp .
  2. Open System ( Win+Break ) / Advanced System Settings / Environment Variables.
  3. Find there TEMP and TMP , copy somewhere their values.
  4. Correct TEMP and TMP to C:\tmp .
  5. Restart the installation.
  6. After installation, roll back TEMP / TMP to old values.
  • Yes, the username is in Cyrillic. Same thing, but without a username now i.imgur.com/00FLagF.png - klieve
  • Try to find in the unpacked msi files and run it directly. if you don’t find right away, call unpacking, installer.exe -ec:\tmp , where installer.exe is the name of the installer you are running. - PashaPash ♦
