Imagine any form of data entry in several fields.

What options do we have to confirm the entered data?

Please share your experience. And to evaluate the proposed option.

What are the options for Android?

For example:

ОК button - ОТМЕНА , somewhere at the bottom of the screen. In the toolbar on the left above, a cross - on the right is a check mark (applications from GMail - Mail.ru) - by the way, do you think this pattern stuck? On wear devices, this is the so-called ConfirmationActivity .

Personally, I really liked the option with the toolbar, and I want to use it everywhere.

  • What do you mean by "confirmation of the entered data"? Highlight red fields that are not tested or how? - anber
  • Scenario: you need to enter something, for example payment details. Input fields (because there are many of them) are placed on a separate screen. We go to this screen, and after we have entered all the data, we want to return to the previous form. Tipo OK clicked and returned to the previous screen. Or some other pattern. In the screenshots you can see that the toolbar has a cross (instead of the CANCEL button) and a paper-plane icon (instead of OK). So I want to understand how to do better. And are there any other options - Garf1eld

Google offers its own guidelines depending on the version of the OS. For android 2.x, 4.x, 5.x interfaces, they are different - at the moment it is Material Design. It is recommended not to invent, but to adhere to them, as the most expected user experience.

This concerns not only the location of the elements, but also their appearance, for example, the "paper airplane" icon - send a message. Confirmation of the entered data - "oblique tick"
