The official Apache Cordova documentation describes how to create a Windows application, is it possible to represent it as an executable file .exe, .bat, or .msi?

There is such a feature in VisualStudioCode , you need to install Cordova support there and then you can build applications, you can also build them manually, but not very convenient. By the way, there is also AppJS and Node-WEBKit. they solve essentially the same tasks, by the way, it seems like Cordova does not work very well under XP
- Visual assembly in what form? appx? About Node-WEBKit I only know that this is a separate build tool, essentially a chromium based on a V8, maybe as an alternative, but the weight is big, about 100mb - artem testerov
- About the assembly in the Code I will not say. It is better to read, for example, here - msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn771545.aspx , when I put Code on "play", I put a separate cord there, but it didn’t impress me, as a matter of fact XP was in flight, as I understood it works essentially through the core of IE, and there js mildly neutered, so I didn’t even bother with it, Node-WEBKit looks more interesting, but there is a 50Mb file, Qt has similar technology, but didn’t study much, decided to stay on node.js - pnp2000

Cordova allows you to build only Metro / Windows Store / WinJS applications, i.e. tiled applications for Windows 8.0 and above.
