I formatted the hard drive on my mac and reinstalled OSX, but at the same time, the hard disk drive is now simply called "New" and it is not in the finder and on the desktop in general, how to fix it?
- Two weeks as bought and already managed to break and fix. Good work)) - Nick Volynkin ♦
- By the way, if you want to use different operating systems in addition to OS X, then look towards Parallels. In virtualke everything works fine and there are just out-of-the-box solutions to install Linux. - Nick Volynkin ♦

If you see the desktop, then OS X has been successfully installed and the hard disk is not lost. Displaying it on the desktop and in the Finder sidebar is a matter of settings.
Open the Finder window, click Cmd ⌘ ; to open the settings.
This is set to display a shortcut on the desktop.
And then - on the sidebar.

Go to the folder "above" cmd + uparrow to the disk and drag in the side menu. Rename in the settings you can.
