I faced an unpleasant problem - on a new computer in D7 Russian fonts are incorrectly displayed in one place. And in the menu itself, the letters are read normally, and inside the component - like this:

enter image description here

The project is not broken - it is in DropBox and on other PCs it opens normally.

What has been done:

  1. Adding the missing fonts to the system (the computer on which everything works is taken as the model. The system is both Win10)

  2. Check system settings - set to "Russian" wherever possible

  3. Re-install delphi.

Everything is still as it was.

And, yes, - 4. on the advice of Google trying to change the code page from 1250 to 1251 in the registry and from 1251 to 1252 in different combinations, it also did not help.

What else can you do?

  • Exposed "Russian" wherever possible - did you precisely check the setting of the Current Language for non-Unicode programs in the Region / Administrative and reboot after that? because for the display of the text in your case she is responsible (and only she). - PashaPash
  • Yes, there is Russian - Anna

The problem is solved by installing the Russian version of the system from scratch
