Can I include free fonts in a project on Github? Is it worth it to indicate the author of the font, the text of the license to the font, and so on, if the author’s license does not explicitly require it (“No attribution or backlinks are required”) or if an Apache license is used.
- onethe fact that you add information about the authorship of fonts (and other files) with an indication of exactly where they took it will not be worse. - KoVadim

If the license allows the use of fonts in Open Sources projects - then why not include these fonts in the repository.
Most licenses require you to specify the author and license of the original files.
An Apache license, for example, explicitly instructs to provide a copy of the license and credentials.
Free fonts are often published under Creative Commons licenses. I am not very strong in this group of licenses, but, as far as I understand, different versions of this license have different requirements for the indication of authorship, and all kinds imply an indication of the version of the license of the original work. I think about CC licenses you can read an article on Wikipedia.
- oneWell, I understand that. I'm more interested in subtleties. HOW to mention the authorship? Separate license file? Then there will be two licenses in the project - for the code and for the font? Or one file? Or leave a comment in the code? Or enough on the main page of the project links? - qtm

3rdpart, and in it a subfolder for theназвание-репозитория-шрифта. Here in this subfolder and fold the font and license to it. - ߊߚߤߘ - Thank you, this is the best option. - qtm
