How to completely remove the driver from the system? OS - debian 8, canon mf-3010 printer. I took all the packages that I put, but, when executing the command hwinfo --printer | grep Model hwinfo --printer | grep Model shows Model: "Canon MF3010" how can I find which package (s) still need to be removed to completely remove the mention of this printer?
- the printer must be turned off so that there is no mention of it. - aleksandr barakin

Look for printer references in files in cups directories:
$ grep -r 'MF3010' /usr/share/cups/ If you find a file, find the package to which it belongs:
$ dpkg -S '/usr/share/cups/....' In addition, if the printer was installed, there is a file in the /etc/cups/ppd directory that describes it, and it can also be mentioned in /etc/cups/printers.conf, the last file can contain printer access passwords, and therefore can only be read by the superuser.
