There is a virtual machine on Windows, PostgreSQL is on it. It clings locally, everything is fine, but I cannot connect to it remotely.

Configs of the "Postgres" rules:

postgresql.conf -> listen_addresses = '*' pg_hba.conf -> host all all 0.0.0.0/0 md5

Also shared the port, but nothing comes out. eventually writes : connection timed out. cling through navicat.

What am I doing wrong?

  • tried pg_hba.conf -> host all all 0.0.0.0/0 trust ? - Saidolim
  • Yes, I tried it now, but still, nothing comes out - Zippbl4
  • In the firewall connections are allowed from the outside? - user194374
  • let's say, to the site that hangs on the server I can connect - Zippbl4
  • 3
    This is not an indicator. Website (web server) and postgres are completely different things. For the postgres itself (port 5432) are connections allowed from the outside? - user194374

1 answer 1

The decision from the author.

Problem solved. All because of my carelessness. The server is rented to Amazon, and there, in addition to opening ports in Windows itself, it was also necessary to open the port in the admin panel.
