The error gets out when trying to add SplitView in UWP C #.

Did Repair VS, did not help.

    Look here and here . Most likely, you will have to abandon the use of the designer in MSVS until this bug is fixed. - ixSci

I caught the same mistake. Added split by writing <SplitView /> in XAML markup. After that, you can work with the element in the designer.
