There is a PC running Windows 8+. As you know, you can assign multiple states to the "Shut down" button. You need to know what state the system went to. States may be as follows:
- S3 (sleep)
- S3 (hybrid sleep)
- S4 (hibernation)
- S4 (hybrid shutdown state)
- S5 (off)
Is it possible to somehow find out in what state the system was? Maybe this can somehow be caught before going to a certain state or after (when the system wakes up). I searched, but found nothing about it ... There are functions of Power Management Functions , but they do not solve this problem.
Be kind, give direction.
PS I will clarify that my task does not include reading the current setting specified for the "Shutdown". I need to determine the post-effect when the system has already gone into any state. If you reveal the problem at all, then here is its essence. I call the hybrid shutdown state for a remote computer (via shutdown.exe /s /hybrid /m compname ). But for unknown reasons, he does not go to S4 (hybrid shutdown state). Presumably, the system goes to the classic S5, but I would like to know for sure. If such questions are not solved here, then maybe someone in the know where they can be discussed. And I would be extremely grateful for the ready-made solution (any utility or logger), but it seems that there is no such solution.
