How can I check a simulator in xcode in the easiest way? Does it work or not? I watched the video tutorial create everything as it is, but it shows a white screen, also created a new project and added a View object there, painting it in a different color. also white screen.

I understand that everything that is added to the storyboard should be visible

I’m new to xcode and don’t know how to check it correctly or not.

  • xcode -> open developer tool -> simulator - Max Mikheyenko
  • No, I set the object (View) in the storyboard, for example I repaint in red, I run the simulator, nothing happens. As I understand it, a red square should appear, depending on whether there is a code or not. Is it so. - jcmax
  • it is so. let's first try to just run the simulator, without the application. - Max Mikheyenko

There are several error options here.

  1. There are no constraints , unlikely, but maybe you have shot down Constrains. To solve this problem, select your ViewController from the bottom, on the panel, click on the triangle, and then Add Missing Constrains
  2. Initial View Controller is not set , maybe you have not set the initial VC. Select it and in the right pane select the checkbox "As InitialViewController"
  3. Also try to check on the device, if there is such an opportunity. So you narrow the circle of decisions.

I hope helped, what could. Rather, I tend to the second point.

  • Found, only he does not allow to add Constrin. I understand this is a star wars type icon at the bottom with just a corner? - jcmax
