If you have a WinForms application and you want to display an alert from this application, then you can convert your WinForms application to the appx package using the Project Cenntenial bridge. After the conversion, you can use many features of Windows 10 and also publish your .Net application in the Store. This bridge is still under development, but the first release will be in the next insider build.
