There is a similar question here , but this solution does not suit me as when I enter the df command the phone is not recognized ...

The directory is called Samsung and its location can be seen on the screenshot, which path should be registered after the cd to get there?

enter image description here

I tried to enter in different ways (listed below)

aleksey@aleksey:~$ cd "/media/aleksey/SAMSUNG Android" bash: cd: /media/aleksey/SAMSUNG Android: No such file or directory aleksey@aleksey:~$ cd /media/aleksey/SAMSUNG\Android bash: cd: /media/aleksey/SAMSUNGAndroid: No such file or directory aleksey@aleksey:~$ cd /media/aleksey/SAMSUNG\ Android bash: cd: /media/aleksey/SAMSUNG Android: No such file or directory aleksey@aleksey:~$

The path is shown this way.

Press the Ctrl + L combination in this window and the path to the directory will appear at the top.

  • Yes indeed, the path to the catalog has appeared, but I am not sure that it is the right one ... Attached the screenshot to the question - Aleksey Timoshchenko

Checked, I have mounted in the following directory:

 /run/user/12345/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A001%2C054%5D$

Here 12345 is the user id, you will have another one, but in general there is nowhere to get lost. Do so and see what you have:

 id --user

After gvfs, this is the text that appears as a path when you press Ctrl + L. In my case it was mtp://[usb:001,054]/ .

  • Ok, I do not fully understand where you take the path "host =% 5Busb% 3A001% 2C054% 5D $", as I understand it is a port that with each connection can change its value. I followed the link and followed the instructions. Executed the first command that was specified by "sudo add-apt-repository ppa: langdalepl / gvfs-mtp" and then updated to "sudo apt-get update", then I enter "$ lsusb" to check the connections, but I still do not understand how understand what needs to be indicated after "host =% (and a set of numbers)". • @AlekseyTimoshchenko go deep gradually, look at every step, from which you can choose. - Nick Volynkin
  • @AlekseyTimoshchenko to watch, use ls or gui - Nick Volynkin
  • So where to go? I enter /run/user/1000/gvfs I have a directory open ... I enter ls there is empty I enter ls -a to look at hidden files and it shows that there are no hidden files there ... I don’t have a gui command it works, it writes that it doesn’t know what kind of command it is ... so, in your case, how did you find what is written after /run/user/12345/gvfs/ ? since I got to this directory and all I had to do was enter the tail of the mtp:host=%5Busb%3A001%2C054%5D$ but where can I get it? - Aleksey Timoshchenko
