I can not find anything like it. I need a hosting (or as it is called) MySql databases. The site lies on the server, but the database is not included. I do not quite understand how it works, but there must be similar services.

Just found the same topic about free services, but it is almost useless and dangerous. Amazon is too expensive and far.

  • And you yourself do not want to organize this on a third-party VPS? True speed may not be so hot, which is further aggravated by the need to encrypt the communication channel. - cheops
  • @cheops I'm so naughty at this that it's funny to think about it. I can use them for my own purposes, but I don’t understand how it works ... - Telion

As I understand it, you have shared hosting. Shared hosting, as a rule, is provided by a hoster for certain tariffs. Each tariff plan includes a set of certain services. In most cases, only the cheapest tariff plan (or free hosting) does not include a database. Therefore, change the tariff plan for more expensive. Or, if you have a free virtual hosting, take a normal one for a small amount of money.

PS: there is still such an unlikely option as the fact that you have a virtual server. On it, by default, Apache is already installed and the site can be screwed without problems. But the mysql database does not come by default. Therefore, it just needs to be installed.

  • Not. That is the problem. The site is on an lxc container, this is the first time I've been working with this, but they assure me that there are no databases on it. I'm looking for a service to connect them. - Telion

@Levelleor If you have access to the container via SSH (password and login account with root-rights), then, as I wrote in the postscript - just install the database. - Max ZS

@Levelleor You can do as Max ZS wrote or buy a VPS and deploy a database on it. We can be wrong, but some hosting sites also allow you to remotely connect to the database. - Alex

@Levelleor Well, there are so many options: 1) Ask to install the database; 2) Ask for SSH access and related rights; 3) Again and again try to explain to the customer that this is not comme il faut; 4) Send the customer to ... You can even come up with options, but it will already be like a flood. - Max ZS

@Levelleor is not a VPN, but a VPS is a Virtual Private Server. If in short, the same as hosting is only better. On it you can deploy the database and connect to it remotely. Or you can try to buy hosting, but you need to know before buying whether you can connect to the database remotely. In Russia, one of the best price / quality here - Alex
