Syntax highlighting does not work in pom.xml files in intellij idea .

If you change the name of the file, the highlighting of the symbol appears. I tried intellij idea 14, 15 versions.

Can anyone tell me what the problem may be and where to find the appropriate settings?

  • Open just the file, highlighted on the left blue. But it does not matter, all files with the name pom.xml are not highlighted. - Stifler

Generally highlighting in Settings -> Editor -> File Types. Perhaps something was shot down. Or added a new type with .xml on top of the old XML. If the idea is buggy do File-> Invalidate Caches And Restart.
