Chromium still has an unresolved bug related to web fonts. If the site uses a web font, for example, Helvetica Neue, and you locally (in the operating system) have the same font installed - there may be problems with the thickness of characters. The Bold font becomes medium, and the normal font becomes light.

Problems appear by chance, I did not find patterns in their appearance. On one site, the font may behave normally, and on the other, the same font may appear crooked. Deleting the browser cache does not help. User change does not help.

The only option is to remove this font from the operating system. And, if the problem is solved, try installing it again (if you need it in the system and in the desktop software).
