About discounts: Magento has a feature such as tier price . Expose the amount over which the price changes, you can set several thresholds. On the product page in the admin in the tab is the price. Concerning the maximum quantity: look in system->config->checkout , there is something like min cart qty / max cart qty . Min cart qty is definitely there. Maybe the maximum.
