    The third line is a CSS hack to ensure adequate display in ancient Internet Explorer browsers version 7 and higher. These browsers ignored the syntax error in spelling the parameter name, so display: inline; . For modern browsers *display: inline; is a syntax error and this parameter will be ignored.
